About icare logo

The I CARE campaign’s goal is to create awareness and opportunities for community members to become involved in the drop-out prevention effort.

The Marion County Commission on Youth (MCCOY), State Farm Insurance and Emmis Communications recognize that increasing the high school graduation rate in Indianapolis is an issue facing the entire community.

Only 73.8 percent of students in Marion County graduated from high school last year making it the second highest drop-out rate in the country. The high school drop-out rate is not simply the concern of the student, the family, or even the school system; it is a community-wide issue. Making sure young adults are educated and fully prepared to enter the workforce as a community member should be the goal of the community as a whole.
