Office Policies
PATIENT CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW POLICY Effective January 1, 2018 iCare Optometry will be enforcing a new Cancellation and No Show Policy.
In order to provide our patients with high quality eye care, it is important for you to keep your scheduled appointment with your provider. Valuable time has been reserved for you or your family member. A missed appointment or late cancellation of an appointment results in lost time which could have been given to another person waiting to receive care. By cancelling your appointment as soon as possible, we can help other loyal patients who are waiting to be seen.
Our office will attempt to give a reminder call one business day prior to your appointment; however, it is your responsibility to keep record of your appointment and to arrive on time. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call 24 hours in advance. For your convenience, an answering machine will be available if you call after regular business hours.
Every No Show visit will be recorded in your patient chart. Multiple No Shows can end your ability to make appointments and/or receive care at iCare Optometry.
We realize that an emergency may occur, and you may not be able to notify us. We will discuss that situation with you if it arises.
After One (1) No Show: Our office will attempt a phone call informing you of the No Show and a discussion of this agreement. You will be able to continue to schedule appointments and receive services at iCare Optometry.
After Two (2) No Shows: Our office will attempt a phone call informing you of the 2nd No Show and a discussion of this agreement. You will be able to continue to schedule appointments and receive services at iCare Optometry.
After Three (3) No Shows:Our office will attempt a phone call informing you that you are no longer able to schedule appointments in advance at iCare Optometry. You may be treated on a walk in basis only, depending on provider availability. We cannot guarantee that you will be seen.
Thank you for your understanding and working with us to ensure that quality services are provided to ALL of our patients in a timely manner.
